It’s almost time for the Annual Nantucket Daffodil Festival! This year, the festival is being held on the weekend of April 27-30th - here’s what you can expect & how you can prepare for Daffy Weekend!
The time has come once again for thousands to gather in celebration for the coming of Spring and to see the millions of daffodils blooming on Nantucket. Here’s a breakdown of the weekend’s festivities!
On Saturday, Main Street is covered with residents and visitors alike dressed in their best yellow attire ready for the day’s festivities. At 9:30 am, Antique cars start to line up on Main Street covered in daffodils and other fun, yellow decorations in preparation for the Antique Car and Motorcycle Parade. At noon, the parade begins and the cars drive out to the tailgate picnic in the Siasconset Village.
Also taking place on Saturday are the Children's Parade, Daffy Hat Parade, and the NiSHA Dog Parade—you can learn more about each of these events at the official Daffodil Festival website!
